How Wine is Made

This survey aims to collect information on the needs of wine producers for the analysis of a new NIR multi-parameter analyser for wineries.

Researchers from Gibertini Elettronica are keen to hear from grape growers and winemakers on management practices that effect grape composition and must fermentation, wine aging and bottling proccess.

Thanks for your help! We hope to be able to create a product that meets your needs!

Privacy Policy: we do not collect any of your personal data. The data will be processed by Gibertini to collect the requirements for the new tool, in case you wish to delete the data sent or modify them, contact us at: riccardog@gibertini.com

The Challenge for Wine Producers

Managing the variability of parameters during the winemaking, fermentation and aging process can be a challenge for wineries.
Often there is a lack of tools to:

  • Detect it
  • Quantify it
  • Study it
  • Manage it

In Oenology, mass spectrometry is an analytical technique applied to the identification and quantification of multiple components and has proven to be the most effective tool to achieve these purposes.

The solution aims to address a real challenge for manufacturers:

  • Real-time analysis : Acquire the sample directly from the tank, without the need for additional accessories
  • Analysis without reagents
  • Traceability of data: Collect your data to produce an updated map of the winemaking phases
  • Independence from external services
  • Easy to use, it does not require specific know-how

The Purpose

The purpose is to help monitor the stages of winemaking. The new Instrument will have to detect some fundamental parameters to follow the processes of:

  • Harvest
  • Extraction
  • Alcoholic and malolactic fermentation
  • Filtration and bottling

We at Gibertini have taken up the challenge and we want to help wine producers to monitor the winemaking process and improve the decision-making process.

Fill out the survey and if you wish we will contact you to tell you more about our project.
